About Rob Jones

Rob was born into a family which has farmed in the wonderful
Shropshire/Powys border country for generations.

An expert stockman, he also had a keen interest in all country sports from a young age.

He was successfully showing home-bred sheep, cattle and horses at county level and went on to become a winning permit holder, training his own horses under National Hunt Rules.

He has owned dogs all his life training sheep dogs for the farm and
enjoying hunting with his own private pack of hounds and terriers.

Gundogs have always been his first love and for the last ten years he has concentrated on breeding and producing the best labradors, cocker and springer spaniels, drawing from his own experience of game-shooting, the importance of a genuine dog in the shooting field.

He only breeds from dogs which although having top Field Trial Pedigrees must also have proved themselves out shooting - experience often gained whilst picking up at the local Powys Castle shoot.
